Catfish Season Commences 31st March. to 29th of October 2017.
Kingfisher lake contains 33 catfish ranging from 13lbs to 78lbs stocked in Spring 2015 and is Somerset's ONLY licenced Catfish water. These fish are sure to pack on the weight very quickly and will offer a real challenge to all anglers new to Catfish angling or seasoned pro's. The lake also has produced carp to 21 lbs in 2016, as well as Tench, Roach and some golden Rudd. The lake consists of 2 double swims and 2 single swims. Burton Springs sells our very own 24mm Catfish and Squid boilies and Hard monster halibut pellets.

When the fly fishing season is up and running, the lake will be heavily stocked with Rainbow, Brown and Blue trout ranging from 2lbs to 6lbs.
Anglers are able to purchase catch and release tickets OR catch and retain tickets. The lake is ideal for anglers of all abilities and is also ideal for exclusive lake bookings and parties. Our in house tackle shop sells a wide selection of flies and we are also able to hire fly fishing rods and reels to allow beginners a chance to experience fly fishing.
One of the most prolific flies on the lake over the winter period are Apps bloodworm, but Buzzers and montanas are also effective. In the Spring there is some excellent sport to be had on dry flies, particularly Kilinkhammers and small black midges
